1. Start both platforms with the same business question

The platform is only one part of the ideal customer profile. Define the merchant category, countries you serve, problem your offer addresses and observable signal that would make a conversation relevant. Then choose Shopify or WooCommerce to route the search to the correct store records.

Do not merge both platforms automatically just to increase volume. A service may support both, but implementation details, integrations and store operations differ. Keep separate saved searches when the qualification rules or outreach context are different.

2. Use Shopify-specific fields only where they exist

Feediqo Shopify records may include Shopify plan, product count, installed apps, technology observations, traffic estimates and revenue estimates. These fields can help distinguish merchant profiles, but availability varies and estimates are not audited financial facts.

A plan or product-count threshold removes stores without a usable value. Decide whether that missing information should exclude a merchant. If the service does not depend on catalog size or plan tier, a category and relevant app may create a more complete audience.

3. Build WooCommerce searches from supported signals

WooCommerce records can be searched separately by platform, market, category, recorded technologies and contact availability. Shopify plan and product-count filters are not supported for WooCommerce, so they should never be treated as zero or silently ignored.

WooCommerce is extensible and technology detection can be incomplete or historical. Confirm the current site before describing a plugin or integration in outreach. A detected technology is useful context, not proof that the merchant wants to replace it.

4. Qualify contact routes in their platform context

Shopify enrichment can attach several public email relationships to the correct store. WooCommerce contact fields come from their own records. Keeping these paths separate prevents an address from one dataset being attached to an unrelated merchant.

For either platform, identify whether an address is a general inbox, support route, wholesale address or named person. Several addresses can be valid without being interchangeable. Choose the route that fits the purpose and verify it before use.

5. Compare segment quality, not raw directory size

Run a small review sample for each platform using equivalent business criteria. Compare active-store rate, category fit, relevant technology evidence, contact suitability and the number of records that need manual confirmation. Raw result volume does not measure campaign usefulness.

Save each audience definition separately, then save reviewed merchants to prospect lists. If one platform produces weaker fits, refine the offer or criteria instead of stacking more filters until only fully populated records remain.
